I heart PDX beer people is a fundraiser established by Mary Rose Walker, Amity Worden, and Michaela Specht DeRosso, along with support from the PDXBookClub. 100% of the funds will be used to financially assist out-of-work beer reps.
The Book Club is a “women in beer” group based primarily in Portland. The group routinely teams up to both provide support for each other as professionals, as well as “enjoying the craft”.
Mary Rose has been in the Portland beer scene since 2009, currently employed as the craft brands manager at Western Beverage. She is an advanced cicerone and has a deep appreciation for beer, but perhaps not as much as her deep appreciation for beer PEOPLE. As COVID-19 started ravaging the beer community, Mary Rose decided she had to help. Thus the fund raiser was born.
Michaela, Amity, and Crystal signed up to assist.
Amity is the Fremont Brewing Sales Manager, based in Portland, but has previously been employed on the distribution side as well. She is known for brightening up every room she walks into and always keepin’ it real.
Michaela is a Portland native that grew up in the industry. She has worked on the guerrilla marketing side with brands such as Bridgeport, Rogue, and Full Sail, but is currently with Constellation brands. She is a proud mother of one with another on the way!
Crystal is a district manager at Maletis beverage and has been pioneering the way for women in the industry. She is a continued inspiration to those around her.
